By sheer luck, I looked out my window this morning to see a trio of wild turkeys roaming around my backwoods! I love seeing these gorgeous critters!
My name is Rain and I am a food lover, an artist, a gardener and a homebody! I love to create, thanks for joining me!
I’ve only seen turkeys in the wild once, and it made me so happy.
Isn’t it amazing to see them Becki! I hope they pop around again!
Great pics of the Turkeys.. Haven’t seen any around our area for a while
Thanks Gwen! I haven’t seen them since then, they usually hang out in the blueberry fields.
I love this. Turkey is my spirit animal.
I know how you feel, Rain! The turkeys we have here on the ridge, are incredibly enchanting ! We have a flock of about 25, and the hens nest back in our woods, which usually they have 20 to 30 chicks! So much fun to watch, and live with! Have a perfect day! Great post!
Oh wow Dino, that is a lot of turkeys! I never see more than 3 together at one time! ♥
They are a handsome lot, but I don’t see any males … isn’t there usually a male with the females? I have only seen a male wild turkey once and he spread his tail when he saw me (makes him look big and fearsome) and it was gorgeous. Not sure if I have a picture of it … will have to look for it 🙂 Anyway, you are blessed to be surrounded by so many of nature’s wonderful critters.
I love seeing the wild turkeys, they are beautiful. I don’t know about males and females, I just usually see them in 3’s maybe it’s the mom and the 2 kids?
