Welcome to Thursday Art and Dinner Date! Today’s optional art prompt is “wings”. Bugs Bunny is showing Daffy Duck how to fly without wings!
After sketching out my idea in my drawing pad, I outlined it with marker and took a photo to upload to my photo editing software. I cleaned up the lines, colored in the characters and removed the background.
I found a cute cartoon background on Pixabay and superimposed this duo onto it. You can download so many royalty-free images and videos there, it’s a lot of fun!
Rain Frances Art: Abstract Water Painting
I finally got back to my watercolor paints! I just wanted to paint something abstract with a lot of blues. This is choppy water on the ocean. I filmed myself painting this for Rain Frances Art. You can find the instructional video here:
Rain Frances Art For Kids! How To Draw School Books
My latest drawing lesson for kids is up on my kid’s art channel: How To Draw School Books!
I figured it’s that time of year. I kind of miss going back to school. It was one of my favourite times of year when I was at University!
Dinner Date: Pina Colada!
Mmmmm! ♫♫ I do like Pina Colada! ♪♪♪ (Do you have that song in your head now? ☺). Here’s the written recipe, couldn’t be easier and it’s delicious on a warm sunny day! If you’d like to see how I make it, here’s the video on Rain’s Kitchen and Garden:

LOL, I love Bug’s whirling ear propellers. You are such a hoot. And of course you had to have Daffy there so you had wings in your pictures, right? Once upon a time, I would have loved a Pina Colada, but my FH and I don’t drink alcohol anymore, so it would have to be a virgin Colada. And being the old Poop that I am, I will probably opt to open a bottle of pop 🙂 Much easier and tastes fine. Still, I enjoy watching you create both on paper and in the kitchen so thank you for sharing 🙂 Smile and enjoy the beautiful fall weather with your fur family …

Hi, Rain! I’m flying today! I’ll come back and read your post when I get home. ❤️
Happy Thursday
much♡love
Your abstract water painting is lovely, Rain. I will make sure to watch the video about it a little bit later. I hope the rest of the week goes well for you.
A very funny idea, Bugs’ helicopter ears, dear Rain. And I really like drinking Pina Colada (but far too rarely ;-)) Today I’m giving you, among other things, a winged hummingbird. (But there are a few other animals with wings to see…) All the best, Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2024/09/weltreise-2024-7-station-san-francisco.html
I like Bugs flying 😁 Thanks Rain
It is a joy to participate in your Thursday Art and Dinner Date. Thank you for making this available to me. You do so much I don’t see how you keep up. Yes ducks can fly but I’m not sure about the rabbit in the sky. LOL
I love the beautiful gradient of blues you got in your watercolour painting!
