Thursday Art and Dinner Date: Appliances

Welcome to Thursday Art and Dinner Date! This week’s optional art prompt is Appliances! Porky Pig is a swine after my own heart! I’m jealous of his pizza oven that’s for sure.

I had to throw in a photo of my latest pizza to entice you! Do any of you have a pizza oven? I definitely have one on my wish list!

Rain Frances Art For Kids! Goldfish

This week for my YouTube channel Rain Frances Art For Kids!, I drew a Goldfish! A friend of mine told me she lately had to say goodbye to one of her goldfish – and it was 15 years old! I never realized they lived that long.

Dinner Date: Pancakes and Vegan Pancakes

For our dinner date, I made lots of pancakes! I made some nice fluffy pancakes and topped them with some butter and maple syrup. So delicious! I also made a vegan version and topped those with my Strawberry Simple Syrup. The vegan version tastes just like regular pancakes. I used coconut oil instead of butter and almond milk instead of cow’s milk. Here are the recipes: Easy Homemade Pancakes Recipe and Simple Vegan Pancakes.

Here are the video instructions for each of the recipes:

I’m very happy to say that Lulu Lucy and Miley have both gained 5 pounds since I adopted them! I’ve been adding rice and hard-boiled eggs to their diet, along with some Omega-3 fish oil. I’ll fatten these ladies up yet! Benny Bear the puppy is growing quickly, he gained EIGHT pounds so far since I adopted him!

Baby Oscar the cat (face-planting his bed) is completely fine now with the new dogs. He puts Benny in his place once in a while if Benny gets too curious. Raven is continuing to love having her own little pack of dogs to keep her company and entertained!

That’s all for now folks! Please join us again next Thursday for Thursday Art and Dinner Date! Next week’s optional art prompt is: “Churches”. If you’d like a heads-up, here is a list of all of the art prompts for 2024.

If you’d like to share your post, just link up below! We’d love to see your foodie post and/or your art post! Remember, the weekly art prompt is optional, we’d love to see any art you’ve created!

Oh my, it would seem I haven’t left you a comment and here it is Sunday already. A pizza oven sounds good, but not something I will probably ever have (sadly, though I don’t want to think about how many pizza’s I would be eating if I had one) Your pictures of your new family members are adorable and I LOL at Baby Oscar. I can only imagine what he is thinking. And Raven is awesome and she deserves her happiness. Yes, I struggled with appliances, but it turned out all right in the end. Now on to Church … this one could be tricky. Happy Easter, my Friend … I do believe our spring has sprung and I am ever so ready for it. Stay well …

    • I’m so ready for spring too Andrea! Yes, churches…sometimes I ask myself where I come up with these prompts lol…I think I agree with you, if I had a pizza oven I would definitely be eating pizza at least daily lol! ♥

  2. Hello,
The goldfish is really cute, well done. I love pizza, I wish I learned how to make the pizza dough. Pancakes looks yummy, they are a favorite. Your Raven reminds me of my old granddog called Chewy, he was a sweet dog. Your furbabies are adorable, I love dogs.
Happy Easter to you and your family. Take care, enjoy your day and have a great new week!

    • I love dogs too Eileen! I’m so fortunate to have such a sweet pack. Chewy! I wonder if he was named after a habit or Chewbacca lol…I could easily call Benny “Chewy” right now, poor baby is teething. I’ll be posting a video on how to make pizza in the next few weeks!

  3. Now art to share today but I always love to see the others and your own fun work. (The pancakes look great!)

  10. I love Porky’s pizza oven! And the cute fish. Dogs are so sweet, aren’t they! Aloha

  11. Sweet pets! Great idea for a pizza oven Rain, cute art. Delicious pizza and vegan pancakes.

  12. LOL, great sketch! I wish I had thought to draw a pizza oven. I absolutely love making homemade pizza!! However, I don’t really want a pizza oven. I find my stove oven set high enough works beautifully. Your pizza looks quite yummy!

    • My oven works pretty well too Cathy, though sometimes it doesn’t quite bake the bottom of the pizza enough. I find if I prebake the crust, the result is a lot better. I would LOVE to have a high temperature pizza oven!
