Peanut Butter Dog Cookies

Now that I have a full house of dogs again, I’m baking a lot more often for them! They LOVE these peanut butter cookies! They each get one a day.

Ingredients For The Dog Cookies

There are only four ingredients: whole wheat flour, baking powder, peanut butter and milk. They take no time at all to make!

How To Make Peanut Butter Dog Cookies

The first step is to whisk together the flour and baking powder. Set that aside and in another bowl, whisk together the milk and peanut butter.

You want the consistency of the peanut butter and milk to be very smooth. I suggest having both ingredients at room temperature before whisking.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and combine into a smooth dough.

I find the dough gets a little tough to mix with my spatula, so I pour it out onto my counter and finish combining it by hand. I always have some extra flour handy in case things get sticky. Then I roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch and cut out the cookies! I bake them in a 375 F oven for about 20 minutes until they’re a nice golden brown color.

Isn’t this cookie-cutter cute? I found it one day at one of the specialty kitchen shops. I use it now for all of the dog cookies I make!

This recipe makes anywhere from 3 to 4 dozen cookies. It all depends on how thick you roll out the dough and the size of the cookie cutter. I guarantee your dogs will love these! They freeze well too.

  • 1 tbsp (14 g) baking powder

  • 1 cup (225 g) smooth peanut butter

  • 1 cup (250 ml) milk

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C, gas mark 5). Prepare some baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.

  • In one bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. In another bowl, whisk together the peanut butter and milk.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well. If the dough gets too tough to mix with a spatula or wooden spoon, turn it out onto your work surface and knead by hand to combine.
  • Roll the dough out to about 1/2″ thickness. Use a cookie cutter to make your cookies.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
